Dr. Robert "Bobby" McClung, AuD

CCC-A, AAA, ADA, Audiologist, Owner

Dr. Bobby McClung earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and a Master of Audiology degree from the University of Montevallo. He received his Doctorate in Clinical Audiology from Arizona State University’s School of Health Sciences. Dr. McClung has been a practicing audiologist in the Birmingham area for over 25 years, working in conjunction with numerous Ear, Nose and Throat specialists. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Montevallo and as a clinical supervisor for students seeking their doctoral degree in audiology from several prominent universities located in the Southern United States. Dr. McClung was appointed by the Governor of Alabama to serve two consecutive terms on the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology. He has also served on the Board of the Alabama Academy of Audiology for the past ten years as either Acting President or Vice President, the position he maintains today.


Dr. McClung received extensive vestibular training from Dr. Richard Gans at the American Institute of Balance in Tampa, Florida, and has attended workshops sponsored by Dr. Neil Shepard at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.


Outside of the office, Bobby likes spending time with his family and friends and participating in just about any activity that gets him outdoors.  A Pell City native, Dr. McClung grew up on Logan Martin Lake and to this day still enjoys fishing whenever possible. When time allows, he also thoroughly enjoys playing golf in and around the Birmingham area. Above all else, the doctor loves talking college football. One step into our office will reveal that Dr. McClung is a HUGE Alabama football fan.
